A very confusing movie, but I like it. First time seeing Jim Carrey in a non comedy movie, and I have to admit he’s an excellent actor. Acting skills don’t show as much in a comedy, because the actor just needs to act goofy. What I got out of the movie is that maybe some day love will fade, and you loose the passion you initially have, and start seeing all the faults in each other, and before you know it you can’t stand each other any more, but that’s ok. It’s ok because there are beautiful memories of the good times, one wouldn’t trade those memories for anything.. 曾经拥有过就够了。One other thing is to cherish the past, and the path that you’ve walked together, don’t let the current happenings blind you of what’s good. i’m glad the characters in the story got a 2nd chance, and got their misunderstandings out of the way the 2nd time around, hope they will be able to walk farther together this time. The movie has a very interesting filmography, you should check it out if you have a chance. although i think it might be considered a boring movie for some people =P
title is from a poem by alexander pope… although i don’t quite understand what it means…
How happy is the blameless vestal’s lot!
The world forgetting, by the
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind!
accepted, and each wish resign’d
I guess it’s suppose to say if you don’t remember anything, then you’re happy.. but i think the movie really proves it otherwise…
